Equipment for Sale
ILH Groundcare is Scotland's specialist arboricultural and groundcare machinery supplier.
Why Our Customers Love Us
New and Used Stock
We carry new machines from all six of our manufacturer partners, and we regularly have used and ex-demo equipment available too. New machines come with full manufacturer warranty (3 years on Forst chippers and MultiOne loaders), a thorough handover from our team, and ongoing parts and service support from our Cumbernauld workshop.
Used machines go through our workshop before sale. We check them over, service them, and fix anything that needs attention so you’re buying a machine that’s ready to work rather than a project. We’re honest about condition, because we’d rather you come back for your next machine than chase a quick sale on something that’s going to give you problems.
If you have a machine to trade in, we’ll take a look and factor it into the deal.
Why Buy from a Specialist Dealer?
You can buy groundcare equipment from plenty of places. General plant dealers, online marketplaces, private sellers, and auction sites all have machines listed. The difference shows up after you’ve handed over the money.
Advice from people who use and service this equipment
We’re not reading spec sheets back to you. Our team services, repairs, and works with this machinery every day, and several of us came from the arb and groundcare trade before joining ILH. When you ask which chipper suits a one-man tree surgery business doing mostly residential work, or which loader handles the attachment range a landscaper actually needs, the answer comes from practical experience. A general dealer who sells everything from telehandlers to pressure washers can’t give you that.
Parts and service from the day you buy
Buying from a specialist dealer means your parts supply and service support are already set up the moment you collect the machine. We stock genuine Forst, Arbmax, and FSI spares in our Cumbernauld workshop and can source parts for MultiOne, Sherpa, and Energreen quickly through our manufacturer relationships.
When something wears out or breaks (and it will, because these machines work hard), you call the same people who sold you the machine and who know its service history.
Workshop backup for the life of the machine
Our workshop handles routine servicing, breakdown repairs, blade and cylinder sharpening, hydraulic work, and electrical diagnostics. We service the machines we sell, but we also work on equipment from other manufacturers, so if you’ve got a mixed fleet, we can look after the lot.
The workshop relationship doesn’t end after the warranty period either. Some of the machines we service have been with their owners for ten years or more, and the support continues for as long as you’re running the equipment.
Demos before you commit
Spec sheets and videos only tell you so much. We can arrange demos at our Cumbernauld workshop or, for larger equipment like robotic mowers and tracked chippers, on a site that suits the conditions you’ll actually be working in. Seeing a machine work in person, and getting your hands on the controls, is worth more than any amount of reading when you’re making a buying decision that affects your business for the next five to ten years.
Who Buys from Us
Our customers are working professionals who depend on their equipment to earn a living. Tree surgeons and arboricultural contractors make up a large part of our business, buying chippers and stump grinders that need to perform reliably day after day.
Landscaping companies come to us for compact loaders and chippers that handle the groundworks and clearance side of their projects. Council grounds teams and estate managers buy loaders, mowers, and robotic mowers for parks, cemeteries, and managed land.
Hire companies add Forst and Arbmax chippers and FSI grinders to their fleet knowing they’re backed by a dealer who can service and support the machines between hires. And we sell across the UK, not just Scotland, because the specialist advice and aftermarket support travel well beyond our postcode.
Groundcare Equipment for Sale FAQ
Should I buy new or used?
It depends on your budget and how hard the machine will work. A new Forst chipper comes with a 3-year warranty and the latest features, which makes sense if you’re running it five or six days a week. A used machine that’s been through our workshop can save you a significant amount while still giving you reliable performance for lighter workloads or as a backup unit. We’ll give you a straight answer on which option suits your situation.
What brands do you sell?
We’re the Scottish dealer for Forst and Arbmax wood chippers, FSI/Predator stump grinders, MultiOne articulated loaders, Sherpa mini loaders, and Energreen robotic mowers. We also sell Rhino and Ram trailers. For used stock, we occasionally carry machines from other manufacturers that have come through our workshop.
Can I trade in my old machine?
Yes. Bring it along or send us some photos and details, and we’ll make you an offer. We take trade-ins on chippers, stump grinders, and loaders regardless of brand.
Do you deliver across Scotland?
We do. Our Cumbernauld workshop sits just off the M80, within easy reach of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, and the wider Central Belt. We deliver new and used machinery across Scotland and can arrange delivery to the rest of the UK too. You’re also welcome to collect from our workshop if you’d rather transport the machine yourself.
Can I see a demo before I buy?
Absolutely. We can arrange demos at our workshop or, for machines like robotic mowers and tracked chippers, on a suitable site. We’d rather you tried a machine before committing than bought something that doesn’t suit the work.
What warranty do new machines come with?
Forst chippers and MultiOne loaders carry a 3-year manufacturer warranty. Other brands have their own warranty terms, and we’ll talk you through what’s covered when you enquire. Used machines are sold with a clear description of condition, and any work we’ve done in the workshop is documented.
Do you offer finance?
We can point you in the right direction for finance on new and used equipment. Get in touch and we’ll discuss the options based on what you’re looking to buy.
